PAINTING WITH LIGHT
Describe one of your photos from painting with light.
In my first photo, I had Eric stand still while a green light was shone on him. Someone then used the blue lightsaber behind his head to create almost a "halo", which I draw in my illustrations often.
What shutter speed did you have the camera on?
5 seconds
What light source did you use to create the painting?
The lightsaber and green light.
How did you achieve the image/effect?
Again, someone stood bhind him and created a circle with the lightsaber, while he stayed still with the green light in his face.
What impact does the photo have? How would the viewer feel looking at your photo?
I feel like it reflects my illustrations, simple but slightly creepy. Since I took the photo slightly from the side, the shading from the green light falling on his face in a slight tilt looks almost villianous.

Select one of your images that show a shallow depth of field.
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a shallow depth of field?
F/5.3
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
ISO: 1600
WB: FLOURESCENT
Discuss one of your images that show a large depth of field.
What f-stop did you have your camera set to create a large depth of field?
F/22
What ISO and WB settings did you use?
ISO: 1600
WB: FLOURESCENT
Which photo is better? Why?
I like the fourth photo because of the focus on the detail of the skull.
Why would you want to use a shallow depth of field?
To focus on small details or create a focal contrast.
When/in what situation would a large depth of field be better?
If you were taking a picture of a mountain or landscape.
